The specific environments under which these beans grow make it so that they’re the only ones in the world that can legally bear the label Kona. It is these same special environments that make true-grown Kona coffee so desirable.

Why is Crown Kona Coffee so unique?

Kona’s special weather patterns of clear, bright mornings, followed by overcast conditions in the early evenings, and finished with little to no wind at night, all come together to birth a volcanic soil that is both rich in mineral nutrients and porous in texture. When you see the word “Estate” in our grown Kona coffee it means that our product is the product of strictly one of these independent farms. This means that our crops are not mixed with the crops of any other farms. Our product is processed to its final (espresso, dark, medium, or green) state entirely within the management of just one of these “Estate” farms. You should also know that each Estate produces its own completely unique coffee blends; they each have their own bouquet of tastes and aromas.
